Must Learn Relationship Skills
It is indeed a fact that it is inevitable in a relationship to have ups and downs. Fights and arguments in a relationship makes it more exciting. Not all of these situations lead to a successful relationship. No matter how strong a relationship, it can still be destroyed.
To have a better relationship, one must have relationship skills. First is to understand oneself in all aspect. It is crucial to really know who we are and what we are capable of doing. This is a challenging task but one really has to do it for his own self. Knowing oneself, allows one to make sound decisions. This can also be a gradual process since it involves also bravery- to face oneself.
Identifying one’s feelings is another relationship skill. Emotions can confuse you.You know that you’re feeling something. It is important to control your emotions or it will control you. Knowing how you’re feeling on a deeper level is important so you can stay with your feelings. This ability to “own” your thoughts and feelings will help you combat evil thoughts that can destroy a relationship.
In addition, managing anger and conflict makes things easier. Problems get easly solved in a constructive way if it is expressed in a right amount. If you can handle criticism it can also help in problem-solving.
Some relationships can be competitive rather than collaborative. Relationships should never be that way. It will just create conflict and insecurities. Life should be spent in celebrating each others achievements. This will always result to a low self-esteem and self- worth. If this happens, the other person would feel less and can be destructive to his self.
One of the relationship skills that is important to learn is identifying and overcoming barriers to trust. Trust is essential in a relationship. There are those who do not understand the meaning of trust. It is often seen that trust in our daily lives is disappearing fast. Trust gives strength to our relationships and gives us inner happiness. Life becomes brighter and brighter if there is trust in our relationship. It also gives us a positive mentality and it is easier for us to handle situations. This works in long distance relationships. With this virtue, there is a sense of deep bonding.
Communication is as important as trust. Responding and having the ability to understand another’s feelings and words will strengthen the relationship. Communication helps one to solve the problem.
We need to take care of our relationships with care. We should not let our negative emotions rule our mind, or else it will destory us. This means we need to make our efforts of making relationships last. If there is balance in our lives, happiness will just come along.

How Can Anger Destroy Your Relationship?
Happiness, as we all know, come from the relationship around you.
Experience tells you that It’s not easy to build a lasting relationship. Somewhere along the road, things will get in the way and you find yourself unable to maintain your relationship.
One of the hindrances in loving relationships is anger. Anger is a strong emotion. It is one thing that is going to do some damage whether you choose to express it or hold it.
What if you have ever loved someone who has never learned to adjust in his surroundings? Can you imagine what your life would be like in the years to come?
There are situations in a relationship where one becomes really angry or always gets angry on anything and it creates a need to try to control everything. Anger can damage a relationship. Anger results to yelling or maybe physical abuse.
You may argue or fight intensely.
But ask yourself:
Does this help our relationship healthy?
Here’s some facts about anger and how it can destroy your relationship:
- Anger can quickly destroy a relationship that has been good for a long time.
- Your self-esteem and confidence can be affected by anger.
- Anger can affect anything especially love, self esteem and trust.
- - Anger is not a peaceful emotion, it is full of uncertainty and fear, you’ll never know what happens next – Anger makes you say and do things that you will regret for the rest of your life.
If there is too much anger in your present situation or if you are in a relationship with someone who is easily angered, then perhaps you should start thinking if you still have an intimate life with your partner.Because being in a critical situation will make you unhappy and cause more ill feelings towards your partner and eventually would destroy your intimacy.
Trust and honesty can be destroyed by anger so easily and it wears off intimacy in your relationship. Harsh words, criticism and non-acceptance are the causes of anger and it can destroy a loving relationship.
Anger results to negative feelings.
Intimacy vanishes in a relationship if there is constant blaming and criticizing.
Accept and understand eachother to protect a truly valuable emotional bond that you have invested. Do not allow yourselves to erupt without talking what should be done to make things clear. Instead, find ways to discuss it in a civilized manner with a clear mind and open heart.
To your happiness!

The reason for the need for anger management
One of the best things about being human is our emotions. As people, we have been blessed and given the ability to express and experience these strong emotions like love, happiness, joy, etc.But there is a few emotions that aren’t as positive but just as powerful. Things such as sadness, depression, and anger.
One of the emotions that is so powerful is anger. It is so strong it is really dangerous in some people. It is this issue we need to examine and learn how to deal with. This is coming from my experience dealing with anger through my practice of anger management counseling.
There are many techniques that can be used to address anger. But what I want to really dig into is the fact of why we have to deal with it. Such as the consequences of uncontrollable anger.
Well for extreme instances of drastic anger, it can lead to violence a lot of times. Often times this uncontrollable emotion can lead to violent acts towards loved ones.A person who might be simply wonderful and loving towards their family, can suddenlyl turn violent and angry towards those same loved ones.We all have read or heard of stories regarding crimes of passion.A lot of the times that passion was anger. If your anger seems uncontrollable and violent at times that is when it is best to seek anger management counseling.
Sometimes even depression can lead to anger management issues and that is when you need to seek depression counseling.
Anger is definitely not something you want to leave unchecked if it does cross over into the violent.
Then there is the less violent, but nonetheless harmful anger. Such as getting upset and angry over small things which causes you not to think properly. This could affect relationships. It could cause an effect with your work. It could affect your performance with many
tasks.Anger like in that form can actually hinder your judgement greatly. As we mentioned earlier, it is not as violent, but it is something you still have to address.
By addressing your anger through counseling you can improve your quality of life greatly. You can improve relationships, job performance, and many other things.
Not dealing with something like anger can cause many harmful effects.Effects that were avoidable happen if caring and effective counseling was not applied. I know and have seen it firsthand through my practice as a therapist San Diego.
Don’t let an emotion such as anger get the best of you.It can be helped and treated.
